A bag packed for a full day out tends to fill around the useful things first: laptop, notebook, phone charger, maybe a book. A water bottle usually gets wedged in last, or left behind entirely because nothing round fits without displacing something else. The Memobottle A6 flat water bottle was designed around that problem, its 181 x 105 x 37 mm footprint borrowed directly from the A6 paper format so it slides into a bag the way a paperback does, flush against a laptop sleeve, occupying space that was already going unused.
The mouthpiece is worth noting. A 28mm opening handles fast filling at a tap or fountain without the slow-pour frustration common to narrower bottles, and the thread is internalized, sitting below the lip rather than around it. That detail keeps the drinking edge smooth and uninterrupted, which sounds minor until you've spent a year drinking from a bottle where the thread catches your lip on every sip. The silicone seal is leak-proof in the kind of bag where a failure would matter.
Memobottle offers the A6 in Tritan plastic at 375ml or stainless steel at 500ml, two different commitments to the same shape. The stainless version holds more and handles temperature, the Tritan version stays lighter. Neither choice is wrong; they just reflect different relationships with what you carry.
This is a bottle for people who have quietly stopped reaching for the cylindrical ones. The design doesn't announce itself, but it solves a real friction point in how a bag gets packed, and that tends to be the kind of object that earns a permanent place in the rotation.
