Computer–1 Aluminum
About
A stripped-down chassis that doesn’t hide its intentions. The Computer–1 Aluminum by Teenage Engineering is a compact ITX PC case that celebrates raw material and precision form. Made from powder-coated 1 mm aluminum, the flat-packed shell folds into a boxy, monolithic frame that feels more like industrial sculpture than consumer hardware. Every fold, tab, and perforation is deliberate, engineered for assembly and visual impact.
Despite its minimal exterior, the case accommodates a dual-slot GPU, SFX power supply, and motherboard within a tight architectural footprint. Cutouts are measured, not excessive. Handles are integrated as structural elements, not afterthoughts. The open-air top aids thermals while maintaining a strong graphic silhouette.
It’s not plug-and-play but that’s the point. The Computer–1 rewards those who enjoy building, iterating, refining. It belongs in a workspace where each object has purpose and presence. A rare example of tech that looks designed even when turned off.
