849 Black Code Ballpoint Pen
About
A minimalist everyday pen built for people who value precision and durability. The Caran d’Ache 849 Black Code is an aluminium ballpoint with clean geometry, matte black coating, and a reassuringly solid clip and push button.
It’s lightweight at 18 g, easy to carry, and balanced enough for long notes or quick signatures. The hexagonal barrel feels intentional in hand, avoiding hotspots while keeping pocketability high. Inside is the Goliath cartridge with blue ink, rated for up to 600 A4 pages, delivering smooth, consistent lines without blobs or skips.
This isn’t a flashy desk piece; it’s a premium tool that quietly elevates your kit with Swiss build quality. If you care about fit and finish, reliable ink flow, and timeless industrial design, the 849 Black Code hits the sweet spot.
