About
Nine built-in safety features and hands-free auto steam release suggest a machine designed around the reality that pressure cooking still makes most people quietly nervous. Our Place built the Dream Cooker as a multicooker meant to stay on the counter rather than migrate to a cabinet, and that premise shapes every decision: the proportions read as considered rather than industrial, the surfaces stay cool to the touch, and the control panel is specific enough to feel intentional without requiring a manual.
The ceramic-coated inner pot, made without PFAS, performs the way nonstick should without the material compromises that have made conventional coatings a point of concern. Four cooking modes, pressure cook, slow cook, sauté and sear, and keep warm, cover the range of what a weeknight actually demands. A six-quart capacity handles a braise for four or a full pot of grains without crowding, and the keep warm function holds temperature for up to twelve hours, which changes the logic of when a meal needs to be finished versus when it needs to be eaten.
What Our Place has been building toward, across their Always Pan and other pieces, is a kitchen where the tools are specific enough to earn their counter space. The Dream Cooker fits that argument. It doesn't ask to be stored away between uses. It asks to be used on a Tuesday, when the window between getting home and needing dinner is shorter than any recipe assumes.
