Opus 2 Conical Burr Grinder

Fellow's all-purpose grinder in its second generation. The Opus 2 keeps the compact matte body and the single-dose load bin, and swaps in 48 mm conical burrs, up from 40 mm, with a stepless dial that runs from espresso-fine to cold brew coarse without clicking through fixed steps.

Tap the top to start; it stops on its own when the bin is empty. An espresso shot grinds in about nine seconds. The magnetic catch cup fits 54 mm and 58 mm portafilters, so you can dose straight in, and the anti-static design keeps grounds from clinging to the chute.

At $200 it covers espresso, pour over and French press from one machine, which is the point: one grinder on the counter, not three.
