About
The Branch Verve Chair has six points of adjustment: tilt and tilt lock, seat height, seat depth, armrest height, a height-adjustable lumbar and tilt tension. Branch lists it as best for people between 5'0" and 6'0" tall who sit for 8+ hours a day.
An ordinary task chair often moves as one piece, so the seat and back travel together and the sitter adapts to the chair. Six separate adjustments change that. Seat depth sets how far the seat edge sits from the back of the knee, and the lumbar can be raised or lowered to meet the spine rather than sitting wherever the factory put it. Branch describes the lumbar support as medium, so it is a gentle curve, not a firm ridge. Tilt tension then sets how much effort it takes to lean back.
Underneath is a low-profile, synchronous base mechanism engineered in Germany. Synchronous means the seat and back recline together in a set relationship. The frame is reinforced polyamide on an aluminium base, with a breathable 3D-knit back and a high-density foam seat.
The Verve Chair is designed in San Francisco and supports 275 pounds. It meets the BIFMA standard for commercial-grade use and is certified Greenguard Gold for low VOC emissions, which matters in a small room with the door shut all day. A separate Verve Headrest is sold as an optional add-on.
