Wallet

A slim wallet is usually leather stitched around a card pocket, which means the stack only comes loose one card at a time, under a thumbnail, while somebody behind you waits.

PROOF's Wallet builds its case around a gunmetal aerospace-grade aluminium plate with a top-grain leather face, and a pull strap on the front draws the whole stack of cards clear in one motion. That mechanism is covered by US Patent No. 12,604,959 and two design patents. A second strap on the back holds cash flat against the plate, so bills travel in the same body as the cards rather than folded around the outside of it.

The plate is not only structural. It does the RFID blocking itself, working with a blocking layer embedded inside the case rather than a stick-on liner added after the fact, so a contactless card riding in the stack cannot be read by a skimmer walking past. PROOF rates the case for up to 25 cards and 20 bills at once, and the gunmetal finish is there so the plate does not bend or chip under that load.

It was designed by a team of US military veterans and engineers, which reads on the object as a preference for one metal part doing three jobs: holding the shape, shielding the cards, and giving the straps something rigid to pull against.
