Most over-ear headphones treat the cushions as fixed furniture. The Beats 360 makes them interchangeable, the first Beats headphone to do so, with ear and headband cushions available in multiple colours and two materials: the standard Performance Knit and the separately available UltraPlush kit.
The noise cancellation figure is specific. The Beats 360's Active Noise Cancellation delivers up to 1.75 times more noise cancellation than Beats Studio Pro, which is not a vague generational claim but a comparison against a named product in the same line. Eight of the nine integrated MEMS microphones are dedicated to ANC alone, with three handling voice pickup. That division of labour, eight microphones working on what the listener should not hear and three on what they need to say, explains how the headphone manages both tasks without trading one against the other.
Each driver uses a three-layer diaphragm and dual neodymium magnets, a configuration chosen to increase both sensitivity and precision across the frequency range. The stainless steel sliders adjust the fit, and the earcups rotate independently so the headphone can sit flat or conform to different head shapes. A custom Beats chip with Bluetooth 5.3 handles switching between Apple and Android devices. The memory foam ear cushions and IPX4 water resistance make the whole assembly practical for training, not just listening at a desk.
