The Aulumu B01 has a phone compartment that comes off the bag. It is an aluminium magnetic mount, and it snaps back into place once the phone has been used.
On most sling bags, getting at a phone means opening the main compartment and digging. Here the phone sits in the detachable mount, so it can be reached without touching the zip. The mount works with the iPhone 12 series and every later iPhone, but only in a MagSafe-compatible case. Other smartphone brands and models are not supported, which is worth knowing before ordering. The same compartment also moves between compatible B01 and B02 bags.
The main bag holds a power bank, cards, a compact umbrella and everyday tech, and it expands from 2.5L to 3.5L when a day needs more room. The maker describes the X-Pac fabric as lightweight, water-resistant and wear-resistant. A Fidlock magnetic buckle opens quickly with one hand and locks by mechanical means, so it does not depend on magnet strength alone to stay shut. YKK zippers and an adjustable shoulder strap complete the build.
The Aulumu B01 pairs an X-Pac body with a detachable aluminium magnetic phone mount, so the phone lives outside the main compartment and the bag stays closed while it is in use.
