About
The Click EDC Pen accepts more than 100 different refills through a single auto-adjusting collet, with no hacks or mods needed to make them fit.
Most refill-swapping pens make the refill conform to a fixed barrel. Here the collet grips whatever refill goes in, and the body adjusts to the refill's size, so the overall length of the pen changes with the refill used. A short refill gives a short pen. The design is listed by the maker as patent pending.
The click itself is a custom part, an assembly of brass alloy and titanium described as 100% metal. Pressing it extends the writing tip or refill, so there is no twisting and no cap to lose. The Copper version is made from C11000 copper, which is the red-tone finish in the range, and the Brass version uses HBi59-1.5. Titanium versions are machined from solid Grade 5 titanium alloy.
The pocket clip is Grade 4 titanium, picked for proper tension rather than for hardness. Titanium Damascus clips are offered as add-ons. The box holds one pen, one stainless steel pocket clip tool and a Schneider 0.4 mm black gel ink refill, so it writes from the first click, and the clip tool is there for when the clip needs to come off.
That first refill is only a starting point. The Copper Click is a metal pen that does not tie its owner to one cartridge, which is the more useful fact once the Schneider runs dry.
