A uniform-thickness chassis replaces the previous wedge design, giving the laptop a balanced, geometric profile whether it’s closed or open. The lid’s flat surface meets tight-radius corners that mirror the rounded internal notch, ensuring visual consistency from the exterior to the display.

The side walls are milled thick enough to accommodate full-size HDMI, SDXC, and three Thunderbolt ports, all while keeping the two halves perfectly aligned. Inside, a double-anodized black keyboard well frames backlit keys and absorbs stray light from the Liquid Retina XDR panel. The micro-bezel design brings the glass almost to the edge of the aluminum.

Force-cancelling woofers are positioned beneath symmetrical perforations, matching the vent pattern along the hinge line for cohesive acoustic and thermal outlets.

MagSafe power connects flush, and every screw is concealed beneath color-matched feet. The result is engineering skill expressed in a calm, rectilinear form, where every surface is shaped for both function and visual clarity.
