About
One push on the button of the Secrid Miniwallet pops up six cards at once, fanned out and ready to pick from. Nothing else on the wallet needs to be opened.
Inside the leather sits an aluminium core, the Cardprotector, which Secrid first launched in 2009 and which won the Red Dot Design Award in 2010. The slide-out section holds four thick embossed cards or six flat ones, provided they are standard size. The metal keeps cards from bending or breaking, and it blocks unwanted wireless RFID communication with them.
The Miniwallet differs from the plain Cardprotector because a leather cover wraps around that aluminium core. The cover is where the extra capacity comes from. Four more cards can sit in the exterior wrap, alongside banknotes, business cards and receipts, so cash and paper have a place that is not squeezed against the cards inside the core. In total the wallet carries up to 10 cards.
Secrid has been a B Corp since 2022, and it has now spent well over a decade refining the one idea it launched in 2009: a metal case that fans out the cards you use most, with leather around it for everything else. The Miniwallet is that idea in its most carried form.
