About
The Monarch Case has a steel-reinforced bottle opener built into it, which is an odd thing to find on an AirTag holder and the detail that separates it from a plain shell.
The opener sits alongside two ways of attaching the case to things. A key ring attachment is fitted at the bottom, for keys. A heavy-duty twist-lock carabiner clips it to luggage, backpacks or outdoor gear, so the tracker rides on the outside of a bag instead of being buried in a pocket. The twist lock matters here, because a carabiner that can be knocked open on a strap is not much use for something meant to be found again.
Protection comes from a screw-lock enclosure. The AirTag goes inside, the case is screwed shut, and the closure is meant to give 360° protection against scratches, dust and water. A screw closure is slower to open than a snap-fit lid, which is the trade: opening it to change the battery takes a moment, but the case does not pop apart in a bag. The precise-fit interior is designed to hold the AirTag firmly in place, so it should not rattle around inside.
The Monarch Case from Urban Armor Gear holds an AirTag in a screw-lock enclosure and carries a steel-reinforced bottle opener, a twist-lock carabiner and a key ring attachment.
That makes it a tracker case that doubles as a small piece of kit. Anyone clipping it to a rucksack gets the opener without carrying a second tool.
