About
Most perpetual calendars demand a correction ritual every time a short month ends. The Master Control Chronométre Perpetual Calendar does not.
Calibre 868 carries 332 components inside a movement thin enough to keep the case at 9.2mm, and the perpetual calendar logic built into it accounts for every irregular month and every leap year automatically through to 2100. When a correction is needed, a single push-pin corrector set discreetly into the case side synchronises all four calendar sub-dials at once, rather than requiring each complication to be advanced separately. Those four sub-dials, arranged across the blue-gray gradient sunray dial, show day, date, month, and year as distinct readings rather than stacking the information into a single crowded aperture.
The moon phase sits at 6 o'clock, its indicator finished with a hammered platinum leaf that catches light differently from the surrounding dial. The movement holds Jaeger-LeCoultre's own HPG Seal, a certification the brand applies above the COSC chronometer standard it already meets. The integrated three-row bracelet is stainless steel throughout, closing with a double folding buckle and sitting flush with the case rather than attaching at separate lugs. At 39mm across and 9.2mm deep, the watch sits close enough to the wrist that the bracelet and case read as a single object rather than a case wearing a strap.
