About
The Blueair Mini Restful combines a sunrise alarm that runs for 15 to 30 minutes with a HEPASilent air purifier that Blueair says removes 99.97% of pollutants such as dust and dander. The light is one half of the job. The filter keeps running through the night while the user sleeps, and the alarm sound is selectable, so the wake-up need not be the one the clock chose.
Blueair rates it at 12.5 minutes to clean its recommended room size once, which works out as 4.8 air changes per hour, and up to 607 ft² in a full hour. Clean air delivery rates are 93 cfm for pollen, 80 cfm for dust and 90 cfm for smoke, pushed out through a 360 air outlet at one of four fan speeds. Pollen is the highest of the three, with smoke close behind and dust lowest. It is also QuietMark certified, which is the relevant badge for a machine sitting beside a pillow.
Setup needs the free Blueair app, so a phone is part of owning it. Through the app go the alarms, sounds, light settings and routines, plus custom schedules for enhanced air purification. There is one filter. It lasts up to 9 months, and a red LED on the interface signals when it needs changing. A built-in USB-C port keeps bedside devices powered from the same unit.
