About
Dyson’s lighting line began with the CSYS task lamp in 2015; the Lightcycle Morph refines that concept into a sleeker, rotational column. A bead-blasted aluminium arm glides vertically on three visible steel tracks, maintaining perfect balance so the head can hover at almost any height without tools or clutching.
The circular diffuser pivots 360°, snapping magnetically against the perforated stem to transform from pinpoint task light to warm ambient glow. Inside, a sealed copper heat pipe draws warmth away from the LEDs, preserving lumen output and colour accuracy for sixty years. A daylight-tracking algorithm modulates colour temperature from a candle-warm 2700 K to a crisp 6500 K, matching natural circadian cues hour by hour.
A touch-capacitive slider adjusts intensity, while a presence sensor dims the beam when you step away. Form, hinge geometry, and concealed wiring combine to leave nothing extraneous in view, turning a functional desk lamp into a kinetic, architectural element.
