At the centre sits a 60 MP backside-illuminated full-frame sensor paired with a fixed Summilux 28 mm f/1.7 ASPH lens; floating elements secure edge-to-edge sharpness from 17 cm to infinity. The leaf shutter stays silent up to 1⁄2000 s, while an electronic shutter extends to 1⁄16 000 s for daylight wide-open shots. A 5.76 M-dot OLED EVF aligns top-left, freeing the rear for a new tilt-touch LCD that folds flush to maintain the camera’s planar back.
IP52 sealing guards against rain, and wireless charging via an optional handgrip keeps port covers closed, preserving weather integrity. With its bright framing lines and discreet red dot, the Q3 offers medium-format-rival detail in a body that fits a jacket pocket.
